- Manages all aspects of scheduling hearings and pre-hearing conferences.
- Serves as the University connection point and liaison for parties, witnesses, advisors, and Title IX professionals (including investigators, decision-makers, advisors, and appeals officers) throughout the pre-hearing, hearing, and appeals processes.
- Communicates with participants about their rights and responsibilities and explains how the hearing and appeals processes work.
- Gathers availability, schedules hearings, facilitates the exchange of materials, arranges any requested accommodations, and distributes hearing outcomes.
- Manage and maintain hearing records.
- Assists participants in getting connected with resources throughout the pre-hearing and hearing processes.
- Answers procedural questions related to the adjudication process.
- Relays communication to and from the Hearing Chair.
- Relays communications to and from the Title IX Coordinator in advance of and during the hearing.
- Documents the hearing process's compliance with university policy and procedures.
- Manages appeals procedures.
- Tracks outcomes and sanctions and reports them to the appropriate university personnel for administration.
- The Equal Opportunity Hearing Coordinator does not evaluate, assess, investigate, or adjudicate any reports, allegations or complaints of misconduct, and does not serve as a decision-maker in the appeals process.

- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Title IX-related training or certification through a nationally recognized organization
- Knowledge of hearing administration theory and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with individuals of varied professional, educational, and experiential levels, in a multi-faceted organization.
- Demonstrated organizational abilities and experience managing complex records, data, and reports.
- Prior experience in a university setting or with a university.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding student and employee policies and privacy records (including Title IX, Clery, and FERPA).
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data and/or case management software.
- Experience creating accessible, strategic communications, reports, websites, and other internal/external communications.
- Experience using virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Equity, Inclusion, and Community Impact or their designee, the Equal Opportunity Hearing Coordinator provides critical administrative and operational support relating to the scheduling and coordinating of Title IX and other civil rights hearings.
