- Develops DER/PMA repairs for aerospace components by reverse engineering.
- Prepares written procedures for test equipment and test plans.
- Writes technical reports and proposals.
- Create 2D, 3D computer generated drawings for repairs and part's manufacturing.
- Manage multiple reverse engineering projects simultaneously.
- Provide technical support to repair shops.
- Support warranty adjudications.
- Track reliability and provide corrective actions and reports to customers.
- Work with FAA DER's to obtain FAA approval form).
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Detail oriented with good written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical or electrical components.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.
- Experience in the quality control and new product development within the aviation industry preferred.
- Familiar with PMA process, Repair Specification creation and fabricated components preferred.
- Has an understanding of both the Repair Station and Design and Development quality manuals.
- Is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Has clear vision at 20 inches or less. Has the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Has the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
- Works in moderate noise levels.
