Job description:
SquareCare Montessori Preschool has an opening for an assistant teacher in our preschool childcare program.

We are seeking a warm and caring individual to join our team, assisting young children to gain social and emotional skills, independence, and academic skills, and assisting teachers to prepare the learning environment.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

have, or be able to get criminal background clearance

Have an interest in learning the Montessori philosophy of education

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.

Early Childhood Education units (6 core or more) preferred

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of lesson plans.
Assist in the supervision of students in the classroom, cafeteria, playground, and other school activities.
Assist in the management of student behavior.
Assist in the preparation of materials for instruction.
Assist in the grading of student work and tests.
Assist in the maintenance of student records.
Participate in faculty meetings and other schoolrelated activities.
