Responsibilities:


  • Perform all aspects of land surveying, GPS control, control using robotic total stations, ALTA surveys, property surveys, topography and existing conditions surveys, utility and asbuilt recovery and construction stakeout
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience as a Party Chief
  • Ability to operate Robotic Total Stations and fluent in GPS, static, RTK and RTN collection protocols
  • Familiarity with Trimble TSC3, TSC5 or TSC7 Data Collectors
  • Familiarity with Carlson Survey software a plus
  • Sufficient knowledge to handle most surveyrelated tasks in the field to include the ability to review and understand construction drawings and perform associated layout
  • Experienced in reading and understanding deeds and plats
  • Experienced in recovery of boundary evidence in the field
  • Ability to collect asbuilt and topographic data, provide sketches and work with survey technicians to develop superior mapping products
  • Ability to work under rigorous conditions
  • Utility locating experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be reliable

Additional Requirements:


  • Must understand the importance of the deliverable and have a track record of ownership with regard to all projects and assignments and be a team player
  • Have the ability to work out of town, flexible with work area
  • Must have a valid driver's licnese, clean driving record and be able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate company vehicle
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
