Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician with at least 2 years of experience to support our Main OR Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a short-term contracted position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. This is a Full-time Evenings position with the shift times being from 1 PM to 9:30 PM. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.


As a Sterile Processing Technician for the Main OR, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

  • Understanding principles of sterilization
  • Wrapping instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization
  • Ability to prioritize duties.
  • Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
  • Ability to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and reassemble into trays.
