JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining job descriptions, employment classifications, and salary range benchmarks.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, providing them with essential information about company policies, procedures, benefits, and resources.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to coordinate training programs and ensure new employees receive proper training as per their job requirements.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Address employee and manager queries and concerns promptly, maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Assist in the resolution of employee conflicts, investigating and mediating disputes, as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to management and employees to drive resolution in line with policies, guidelines, and employment law.
  • Collaborate with managers to deliver disciplinary warnings and performance improvement plans where needed.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and activities to foster a culture of teamwork and employee satisfaction.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and other related documents.
  • Prepare and distribute HRrelated reports, such as headcount, turnover, and performance metrics.
  • Support delivery of annual and semiannual performance review process and compensation/merit increase program.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure HR practices remain current and effective.
  • Contribute to the creation of career pathways and assisting with organizationwide learning curriculums including delivering training programs.
  • Contribute to development of change management and restructuring initiatives, which may include consultation and consensusbuilding with groups and individuals.
  • Support and deliver project work as required, embedding new initiatives within client groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification Preferred
  • Minimum 35 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with a focus on recruitment.
  • Solid understanding of fullcycle recruitment processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and coworkers at all levels, including executive level.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to proactively handle issues.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to be in the Corporate Headquarters on a regular basis and travel to our other Houston location as needed.
