Description
The job position is for an experienced Information Security Analyst at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as a part of the agency's cybersecurity team.
The Information Security Analyst will take the utmost explanation concerning DHS' systems, networks, and data by way of security events and incidents monitoring, analyzing and reaction.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous user acceptance testing to include creation of performance and threshold criteria.
- Application pilot development to support user acceptance, validation, and testing.
- Enhancement and requirements backlog management.
- Develop requirements to be used for challenge scenario validation.
- Validate and evaluate scenarios against requirements.
- Develop and recommend scoring methodology for all rounds.
- Develop solution guides that will be shared publicly after the competition.
- Maintain an ATO of the CISAhosted solution during the entire PoP, including working to address security findings and updating relevant security authorization documentation as needed.
- Continuously conduct vulnerability assessments of the solution and inform stakeholders, including agencies and CISA (as appropriate), in writing, of the remediation of default risk critical/high vulnerabilities.
- Maintain solution compliance with FIPS Publication 1403, DHS Policy Directive 4300a, and relevant NIST and ISO standards.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in cybersecurity operations.
- Knowledge of offensive and defensive cybersecurity disciplines and practices, demonstrated through a minimum of three years of experience in an applicable cybersecurity role.
- Familiarity with the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors, as demonstrated through a minimum of three years of experience in an applicable cybersecurity role.
