KCH Event Equipment Rental LLC (KCH Rental) is a Black and Woman-Owned business that supplies event rental equipment. Here at KCH Rental, we supply nearly every type of party you can imagine.

From small & large tents to tables, chairs, dishes & linens, we rent it We are looking for Drivers who can safely and efficiently operate a 16' non-cdl box truck.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will learn or may already have the skills to do the following:
Ø Safely and efficiently operate a 16' non-cdl box truck.


Ø Load and unload vehicles/trucks and deliver equipment in full or partial loads working with Delivery Coordinator and Warehouse Staff.

Ø Navigate a variety of routes throughout the city while adhering to a time schedule.

Ø Assemble various party equipment.

Ø Professionally represent the company to customers at job sites.

Ø Work as a team, to overcome obstacles and troubleshoot problems effectively/efficiently.


Ø Perform minor maintenance and repairs, as well as engineer solutions to a wide variety of structures and rental equipment.

Ø Must service customers in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.

Ø May be required to assist customers with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions and order adjustments if necessary.

Ø With our warehouse conveniently located on the border of Maryland and Washington, D.C. we are in a prime location to efficiently deliver and pick up our equipment throughout the DMV. This is accomplished through the safe operation of a 16' box truck. We are a family-owned business and are looking for the right people to join our successful team.


WORKING CONDITIONS


May be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area, with the exception of several hours in the warehouse loading or unloading and drive time.

Some work areas may not be heated or air-conditioned. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, propane, and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required. Some electrical equipment is delivered, although it is not a requirement to install or service the equipment. Stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, lowering, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, carting, and carrying are intermittent tasks that routinely occur.


QUALIFICATIONS
Ø May be required to assist customers with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions and order adjustments if necessary.

Ø Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Ø Must be familiar with local roads and be able to read a road map.

Ø Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.

Ø Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Ø Must have a positive attitude.

Ø Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.

Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.

Ø Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.

Ø Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ø Self-motivated individuals that require little to no supervision.

Ø Customer service experience.

Ø Ability to reach, bend squat and push with repetition.


TASKS & ACTIVITIES
Ø Wear proper uniform and adhere to our appearance and grooming standards.

Ø Complete the daily Truck Inspection form before departure.

Ø Load and unload equipment.

Ø Assist warehouse staff with loading/unloading trucks.

Ø Prep equipment, if necessary, prior to loading.

Ø Inspect the truck for load accuracy and ensure your load is secure. (Using blankets, E-tracks, lock bars, etc.)

Ø Deliver and pick up equipment.

Ø Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.

Ø Complete the driver trip sheet for the Estimated Time of Arrival.

Ø Open and close the rental yard per company procedure.

Ø Properly dock or park vehicles used for the day.

Ø Secure customer signature on the contract, if not already signed.

Ø Inform the supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.


Ø Inform the supervisor and customer if the route is altered, and there is a new Estimated Time of Arrival or if you will be arriving later than your original Estimated Time of Arrival.


Ø If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get the customer's signature.

Turn in these forms to the supervisor, along with pick-up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to the repair area.

Ø Complete a damaged and missing equipment report.

Ø Deliver pick-up ticket copies to the warehouse manager or dispatcher so counts can be verified prior to unloading.

Ø Place delivery and in-store returned equipment in the appropriate area for inspection.

Ø Complete your route(s) in a timely manner.

Ø Maintain and comply with company procedures and policies.


While driving the company vehicle:
Ø Serve as store representative.

Ø Always carry driver'
