Description:

The Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management is located at the Institute of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Behavioral Sciences and has a research focus on personnel and change management.

Description:
The research at the Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management focuses on organizational behavior, personnel management, and organizational change. A special emphasis is placed on employees and volunteers in the context of their (changing) work environment.

The goal is to understand why individuals work for nonprofit organizations, how they respond to changes, and what motivates them to stay.

As the organizational context significantly influences how employees and volunteers perceive their work, the research at this chair also examines why and how nonprofit organizations respond to and implement changes.

As the study of human behavior is complex, the research projects are designed to capture interactions at multiple levels by incorporating individual, organizational, and contextual factors, and by using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

What we offer:

  • Develop and represent your own research focus within the context of the chair
