The Position:
HOPE is seeking a Manager of Philanthropic Engagement who will be responsible for building and developing long term relationships with donors. The position reports to the Chief Development Officer. This is a hybrid position, working out of both of HOPE's locations (Downtown Brooklyn / South Bronx, 1 Smith Street / 1360 Garrison Avenue) at least three times a week. The position will be an active front-line fundraiser, meeting and interacting regularly with donors and prospects.
Responsibilities:
Individual Giving:

Develop and implement an individual donor program which leverages HOPE's existing base of donors and volunteers to increase major gifts by 20% in two years.

Leverage corporate engagement opportunities to identify and cultivate prospective individual donors.

Ensure effective donor stewardship through prompt and compelling thank you letters, phone calls and other cultivation.
Special Events:

Work with the Chief Development Officer to plan and execute HOPE events.

Help to identify and solicit in-kind donations/sponsorships.

Help to coordinate all logistics for HOPE events.

Help to identify opportunities for new and innovative events to support HOPE's mission.
Other:

Complete other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or Chief Development Officer.
Salary/Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000, and is dependent upon experience. HOPE provides a full package of benefits including healthcare and dental insurance, retirement plan, competitive vacation (plus half-day Fridays during summer which is equal to 7.5 additional vacation days), and 12 paid holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and 3 or more years of development experience.

Proven track record of closing 5 figure gifts.

Impeccable oral and written communication skills including strong editing and proofreading skills.

Ability to cultivate and steward relationships with diverse donors and prospects.

Capable of working on multiple projects at once and meeting deadlines.

Highly organized and detail oriented.
