Ironwood Physicians PC is a large multi-site, multi-disciplinary group located throughout metro-Phoenix including the East Valley, Scottsdale, and West Valley. Our well diversified practice provides medical oncology, radiation oncology, integrative oncology, gynecologic oncology, breast surgery, diagnostics (PET/CT), clinical research trials, and urology services. Our state-of-the-art-centers are patient focused and possess the highest quality equipment delivering care in an integrated setting.

Five of our sites are comprehensive cancer centers and support over 40 medical oncologists and 11 radiation oncologists. Our Women's Centers support 10 breast surgeons and a gynecologic oncologists.

Overview:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse Practitioner (RNP) for our East Valley offices. Oncology experience or related experience preferred.

The RNP will maintain a cohesive working relationship with the collaborating physician and will focus on working in tandem with physician to provide patient care in the office and hospital.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collaborating with physicians and other health professionals as needed.
  • Counseling and educating patients on health behaviors, selfcare skills, and treatment options.
  • In a collaborate manner with physician treat and monitoring chronic diseases, hematologic conditions and side effects of chemotherapy.
  • Obtaining medical histories and conducting physical examinations.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies (e.g., lab tests, xrays, EKGs) with the supervision of the collaborating physician.
  • Prescribing medications.
  • Prescribing physical therapy and other rehabilitation treatments.
  • Providing Survivorship directives for patients.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Desire to work in an officebased clinic
  • Ability to work closely in a team setting and work together with physicians to see all patients in a timely fashion.
  • Able to organize and prioritize work.
  • Must possess the ability to learn quickly and absorb a great deal of information.
  • Ability to use office equipment, computer.

Education and Experience:


  • Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed to work in the State of Arizona.
  • Minimum 3 years as licensed practicing NP or 5 years Oncology Infusion experience.
  • ACLS/BLS certification
