The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB) in Martinsried near Munich is one of the leading international research institutions in the fields of biochemistry, cell and structural biology, as well as biomedical research.

With around 28 scientific departments and research groups and approximately 750 employees, it is one of the largest institutes of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science.

As part of the funding project "The German Postdoc Network (GPN): A Holistic Community to Inform, Connect and Support Postdocs", which is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation for three years, a sustainable network is to be established that improves the visibility and recognition of postdocs, represents and communicates their needs and challenges within and outside of the scientific community, and actively contributes to finding solutions.

To implement the concept and establish the "German Postdoc Network" at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (Career Development Service), we are looking for an enthusiastic and solution-oriented
Coordinator (m/f/d) 50% starting on June 1, 2024.

Your tasks

Close collaboration with a second fulltime coordinator at Helmholtz Munich to establish the nationwide "German Postdoc Network" according to the approved project plan
