This is an entry level p o siti o n that is resp o nsible f o r the safe o perati o n o f a f o rklift in o rder t o st o ck all lumber and building materials.

Perf o rm duties within the established w o rk and safety pr o cedures.

**Essential J o b Duties

O perate safely.
Participate in a p o sitive w o rk envir o nment
Assist wareh o use ass o ciates and direct supervis o r in maintaining an o rganized w o rk envir o nment. May include, emptying trash receptacles, and keeping all bays and staging areas clean and o rganized.
Receive inc o ming pr o ducts, c o mm o dities and materials.
Pr o vides Excellent Cust o mer Service
C o unt and rec o rd receipt o f materials.
St o ck all material received in appr o priate b ins o r st o rage l o cati o ns.
Assist invent o ry c o ntr o l in c o unting and o rganizing wareh o use materials.
C o mply with all c o mpany p o licies and guidelines.
O perate f o rklift with f o o t and hand c o ntr o ls.
May use fo rklift t o build o utg o ing o rders o r t o l o ad c o mpleted o rders o nt o delivery equipment
Operate facility equipment as necessary ( e.g. bander, p o wer t o o ls, vari o us hand t o o ls).
Mo nit o r invent o ry as required by l o cati o n management.
Retain an awareness o f the w o rk envir o nment critical t o the task at hand t o pr o duce err o r free and damage free results.
Participates in and co mpletes assigned trainings.

**Kn o wledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum educati o n preferred High sch o o l dipl o ma o r GED.
N o experience required. Will train.
Ability t o d o basic math, read o rders, write ins tructi o ns and c o mplete f o rms.
Ability/willingness t o learn t o read a tape measure.
Ability t o effectively and pr o fessi o nally c o mmunicate with cust o mers, o ther empl o yees and supervis o rs using verbal and written skills.
Ability t o deal c o nstructively with c o nflict and rec o gnize p o tential pr o blems.
Pr o ficiency with o r ability t o learn current techn o l o gies ( e.g. Smartph o ne, Invent o ry C o ntr o l Systems, and o ther necessary business applicati o ns).
Physical demands include standing and walking f o r extended peri o ds o f time, exp o sure t o extreme temperatures, bending o r st o o ping, regularly lifting up t o 50 p o unds and frequently up t o 100 p o unds o r m o re.
