Job Overview:


Duties:


  • Perform bank reconciliations including ensuring accuracy of all transactions, and managing internal and intercompany bank account balances and transfers
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and perform monthly closing procedures
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks) to record financial transactions and generate reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage Accounts Payable functions across multiple entities, including reviewing incoming bills, allocating expenses into cost centers, and processing checks, wires, and transfers for payment
  • Manage Accounts Receivable functions across multiple entities, including invoicing, tracking aging receivables, following up for collections as needed, accepting payments, and allocating revenue by division
  • Maintain schedules for intercompany, debit and equity activity
  • Maintain and update fixed assets to support monthly and annual depreciation
  • File quarterly tax reports including, but not limited to, sales and use tax
  • Assemble information for company CPA for quarterly and annual tax remittance
  • Work with Operations Manager on system setups and integration as needed
  • Work with the Accountant and CFO to monitor and report company operations in accordance with budget

Skills:


  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, particularly the Manufacturing & Wholesale reporting features
  • Accounting experience in the food industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Google and Microsoft Suite, particularly Google Sheets and Excel
  • Detail oriented with excellent record keeping and organizational skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently and creatively
  • Comfortable working in a group of diverse stakeholders in a dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated with a flexible and positive attitude
  • Team player with willingness to learn and operate new tasks, software, and systems
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
