- Process multi-state payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Handle all aspects of payroll and benefits inquiries from employees, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing and benefit administration.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll and benefits regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Generate payroll and benefits reports as needed for management and audit purposes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but will accept relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Ceridian/Dayforce software preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job DescriptionPayroll and Benefits SpecialistLHH Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our client's team in Mesa, AZ on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration, with a strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and regulations. Proficiency in Ceridian / Dayforce software is preferred.
