The Youth Supervisor will assist the Program Director in executing the SYEP goals and objectives. The Youth
Supervisor must be ready to take ownership of their leadership development. They will supervise students in daily work tasks and help guide their learning experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Program Director in overall support and management of Youth Employee staff.
- Assist in daily huddles and provide support as needed, like leading work tasks, and delivering huddle presentations.
- Help maintain a safe environment for all student employees.
- Help hold youth employees accountable for staying on task and fully participating in the program.
- Prepare material for youth employee work tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a high school diploma with at least one year of work experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Ability to connect, communicate, and work patiently with teenagers.
- Receive feedback well.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
- Ability to motivate youth employees, build team cohesion, and hold youth staff accountable to expectations.
