Description

The training to become an IT specialist for game and multimedia development at Mason Neck allows apprentices to plan, analyze, implement, develop, maintain, and service applications for use on entertainment and information electronic devices after their training.

The IT specialists then create digital game worlds, entertainment applications, attractive information displays and shop systems, as well as memorable learning experiences.

The content during the two-year training can be divided into three main areas:

Conceptualization:
Creating concepts for games, learning, information, and presentation systems, project management, resource and cost planning, media calculation.

Design:

Game design, design theory, graphic design, image editing, audio and video editing, 3D modeling and animation, screen and level design.

Development:

Imperative and object-oriented programming, development environments and authoring systems, 3D programming, creation of applications for online and offline use on PCs, game consoles, and mobile devices.

The theoretical content is taught by experienced instructors who primarily come from professional practice. In numerous multi-week project phases, the knowledge and skills taught are trained and deepened through interdisciplinary tasks.

In the second year of training, apprentices complete a practical project over a period of six weeks and complete a 12-week internship in a company.

The prerequisite for admission is a secondary school leaving certificate.

Costs:
The training is subject to a fee. There are various options for training support. We are happy to advise you on this.
