Description

The Project Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining large & small project schedules, budgets, and meeting project milestones, to ensure new products are ready for manufacturing. The department currently consists of two Engineers, supported by Cross Functional members of all departments in the facility. During the lifecycle of a new product introduction (NPI) project, team members will participate in after-hours meetings and occasionally work during normal holiday shutdowns.

Education:

4-year Technical College Degree in Related Field

Experience:

3+ years in Project Management in a Manufacturing environment.
Experienced with Bill of Material reviews and Equipment Cycle Time calculations.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts & techniques
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong data analysis skills and ability to use data to drive continuous improvement.
written and verbal communication skills to create and present concepts to internal teams and all levels of management.

(preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will not supervise associates.

Working conditions:

Factory setting with noise
Open office setting
Climate and humidity controlled

Physical Demands:

Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting and/or standing

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

Travel:

Occasional travel for equipment verification or training
