In this role, the Registered Dietitian (RDN) will provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, education, and support to patients within the community healthcare setting.

The RDN will be responsible for addressing the unique dietary needs of a diverse patient population and be well-versed in available community resources that can enhance the patients' access to healthy and affordable food options.

The RDN will collaborate directly with medical providers/care team as it relates to the patient's clinical dietary needs.

The RDN will also require strong interpersonal skills working directly with various community members to ensure nutritional recommendations are available to patients and promote better health outcomes in the community.

The RDN is pivotal in improving the overall health and wellbeing of the community, especially for underserved populations.

By combining nutritional expertise with knowledge of available community resources, you play a vital role in addressing health disparities and promoting healthier lifestyles within the community.

Job Qualifications:


  • Complete a degree from an accredited dietetics program.
  • Possess a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) license/certificate.
  • Minimum of one year providing and/or assisting in the provision of medical nutrition therapy.
  • Must maintain CPR/Basic Life Support certification.

Special Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and cultural competency.
  • Familiarity with local community resources and agencies that provide food assistance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy and a patientcentered approach to care.
  • Possesses good computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possesses the ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational and time management skills.
