Summary

This Scientist will focus on developing and executing primary cell and whole blood assays to support Amgen's small molecule drug discovery pipeline.

This Scientist should have a strong background in immunology and molecular biology, mastery in isolating various primary cells such as different types of T and B cells, familiarity with Luminex Multiplex assay, and proficiency in Flow Cytometry.

Basic Qualifications:

0+ Years w/ Relevant PhD OR equivalent (where applicable) 2+ Years w/ Relevant MS OR equivalent 4+ Years w/ Relevant BS OR equivalent Advanced and proficient understanding and use of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform expansive range of work in a role.

Basic knowledge of related and adjacent disciplinary areas.

Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:

D in immunology or molecular biology.
- familiarity with Luminex Multiplex assay, and proficiency in Flow Cytometry.

Nice to have: Familiar with Human primary cells.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Developing a platform for conducting functional assays using human primary cells under accurate physiological conditions (e.g., whole blood, presence of albumin or AAG) will enable a better prediction of compound potency in vivo.

A new headcount will allow us to develop these types of assays and facilitate the assessment of our compounds in the appropriate direction within fields such as inflammation and oncology.
