Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

As a PACU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia after surgery.

This is a critical role that requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Duties:


  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels
  • Assess patients' pain levels and administer appropriate pain management interventions
  • Monitor patients' airways and provide airway management as needed
  • Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by physicians
  • Assist with patient transfers to and from the PACU
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding postoperative care and recovery
  • Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in medical records

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • ACLS and PALS required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in a PACU or similar setting
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
