Job Summary:


Performs highly advanced (senior-level) professional assistance work for the Controller in the Office of the Controller Division of the Texas Lottery Commission.

Work involves coordinating or overseeing high-level administrative operations of the division.

Works in a manner that exemplifies and supports the agency's core values of integrity, responsibility, innovation, fiscal accountability, customer responsiveness, teamwork, and excellence.

May plan and assign the work of others. Works under mínimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the Controller.


Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Six years administrative support work experience is required. (Completion of thirty semester hours of college credit may be substituted for experience on a yearforyear basis.)
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as workload may require.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% for jobrelated purposes is required.
  • Experience drafting, proofreading, or editing documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, or Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Experience in preparing purchase requisitions, travel documents, or other financial transactions is required.
  • Experience with accounting or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint software is preferred.
  • Experience in professional administrative assistance for a director/manager is preferred.

  • Knowledge of accepted business practices and procedures involved in providing services and of applicable rules, regulations, and policies, as well as related administrative practices and procedures.
  • Skill in the use of standard office equipment and computer software.
