Job Summary:


Document preparation and scanning of historically significant books and records, Microfiche, Ability to work in a team environment and do repetitive tasks.

Must be able to follow defined processes and have laser focus for detail and meet production goals. Hired as Level 1 scanner offers opportunity to advance to Level 3 based on performance.


Duties and Responsibilities:


On-site document and film scanning, including but not limited to: moving and tracking originals to/from storage and scanning areas, using scanning equipment to image loose sheets, bound books, large maps, film, and similar items.

Inventory tracking and indexing of original documents. Duties may also include file lookups using an electronic document management system.


Education and Experience:

High School or equivalent. Scanning/digitizing of records experience is desirable.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Willingness to take on new challenges. Must be reliable and responsible with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to use a computer and software like Excel, Word, MS Teams and learn Avenu internal production systems proficiently.


Work Environment:


  • You will be working in our customer's County Building and must wear business casual clothes. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner as you are representing Avenu.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:


  • Lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
  • This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
