Staff Accountant

Seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced multi-company environment. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions.

Primary Job Functions:

· Manage Accounts Payable for multiple entities, including entering vendor invoices, validating vendor charges and disputing erroneous charges when applicable.

· Cultivate and maintain a good relationship with vendors and customers.

· Handle Accounts Receivable for multiple entities, including invoicing, verifying payment receipts and collecting on past due accounts.

· Monitor inventory control to ensure efficiency and reliability.

· Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial transactions.

· Manage payroll processing.

· Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for multiple companies.

· Perform financial analysis to provide valuable insights to Senior Management.

· Generate and analyze ad hoc reports to support decision making.

· Collaborate on other projects as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

· 5 years of experience in accounting, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial processes.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).

· Proven ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities.

· Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex accounting issues.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Desire to continuously improve skills and take on additional responsibilities as the company grows.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Degree in accounting or work experience in lieu of degree.

· Strong background in accounting and intercompany skills

· Experience working with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

· Ability to strictly follow established detailed procedures, processes and directions.

· Strong research skills to accurately reconstruct events and provide explanations.

· Flexibility in reassessing priorities and managing competing objectives.

· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with employees, management, customers and external agencies to solve issues and provide solutions.
