    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    In this role, you will act as NKD's US Business Development and Solutions Engagement lead, helping clients find us, fall in love with our content and solutions, and nurture opportunities leading to long-term client relationships.

    Your focus is on converting opportunity into revenue growth with new and existing clients US-based clients.

    Where needed, you'll steer our work in the US, which may include leading on proposal recommendations and working in collaboration with our talented team to create and deliver innovative proposals, projects and programs with results that stick.

    You'll get under the hood of our client's businesses using your finely tuned, strategic consultancy skills.

    You'll cast a new lens on client business problems and propose personalized, human-centred end-to-end solutions that inspire and enable people to deliver lasting change.

    OUR FRIENDS

    Provide feedback and advice to our Solutions and Innovations team regarding the types of solutions clients and the marketplace seek.

    Work with client teams to extract case studies and measurement data to provide feedback on marketing activity.
    Evolve our partnership and cross-sell solutions within the ITA Group of companies.
    Approach everything with the mindset of "How can I help my client(s) be more successful?"

    Ensure the client remains a loyal and active fan of NKD and that they keep coming back year after year.

    Support in building our/refining our next-generation leadership and L&D solutions, making sure our products are stand-out quality, commercially sound and deliver results for clients.

    Where needed, oversee the delivery of our US-based client solutions by leading a talented portfolio team to create and deliver innovative projects and programs with results that stick.

    If you're leading a project, you will know your numbers inside out and how to keep the project on track, you can explain your project health even when put on the spot.

    You hit your target margin 100% of the time.


    OUR FUTURE

    Partner with the Client Engagement and Success Director on the NKD Growth Strategy, devising and implementing the growth strategy and adapting accordingly to reach our revenue and EBITDA goals.

    Business Development or Sales Strategy – dealing with initial client enquiries and then working alongside the internal team to develop, negotiate and close a winning proposal that is also profitable for the business.

    Prospecting and pursuits

    • Target account identification acquisition and management.
    • Develop an annual prospecting list to target net new client accounts and logos.
    • Undertake discovery and research to assist you in preparing solution proposals and
    recommendations to clients and new business opportunities.

    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities as well as prioritize pursuits.
    • Oversee the complete RFI and RFP process from initial conversations through to the final
    pitch and procurement negotiations.

    • Cultivate and prioritize all inbound and outbound opportunities.
    • Document all business development activity using the online process defined within
    Salesforce.

    Database Management – accurately document all new business/client prospect/client account details and manage the opportunity pipeline and anticipated monthly revenue forecasts in Salesforce.

    Revenue Generation - Meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets 100% of the time through nurturing new business opportunities in prospective and existing clients.

    Meetings – Consistently arrange client meetings/screenings with the right levels of contact through appropriate pipeline strategy and activities.

    Presenting – Obtain plan, prepare, and deliver engaging pitches and presentations to clients in a larger or one-on-one group environment.

    Communication – Leverage consultative skills such as good questioning, probing and listening to uncover key client challenges and demonstrate how our solutions and services meet those needs.

    Client Management—Ensure our key clients get the best service from us, leading to repeat, longer-term business.

    Keep clients up to date on our solutions and service offerings and work with our internal teams to draw up proposals and schedules and keep projects on track.

    Partner with marketing to develop and execute individual relationship marketing, PR, social media, website, and promotional initiatives/alliances that raise the profile of the NKD brand and create new business leads.

    Networking – Utilize industry events and contacts to stay informed of current market trends and relay these back.

    Help shape the future direction of products and services by providing insights and thought leadership into what is keeping our clients awake at night and how we can continually improve our marketing initiatives and sales process.


    EXPERTISE

    The ideal candidate will have experience in:

    Progressive Consultancy, Business Development, or Communications leadership roles of around 10 or more years, preferably in learning agencies, strategic brand consultancies, communications or marketing agencies.

    You could have a focus on communications, learning and development, leadership development, organizational design and development, occupational psychology, or cultural change and transformation and/or similar, which are desirable.

    A functional or operational role within an organization, bringing rich and broader hands-on experience beyond consulting.

    Working in a similar leadership role at the director level, working in a commercial or operational environment in a consultative selling capacity.

    Client-facing roles, being the expert and managing client relationships seamlessly.
    Changing, agile and fast-paced environments, taking a business savvy and pragmatic approach.
    Leading with natural gravitas, convincing communication and commercial experience working with or for companies of all sizes.
    Owning and delivering multi-million-pound budgets, projects, programmes of work, and accounts.
    Facilitation is desirable.
    Travelling globally and representing the brand.
