    The Director of Community Engagement (DCE) builds relationships in the St. Louis U. High community and invites parents and friends to become active collaborators in supporting the mission of SLUH.

    The DCE achieves this by leading a range of programs and projects with a particular emphasis on current SLUH parents, alumni parents and grandparents.

    Reporting to the Sr.

    Director of Community Engagement, the Director of Community Engagement actively supports the goals of the Community Engagement team within the SLUH Advancement Department.

    Responsibilities

    Connecting SLUH parents to the life of the school

    Enlivening and leading parent clubs.


    Identifying new leadership, cooperating with parent volunteers on their goals, staffing events and programs, and serving as a liaison between parent groups and school leadership.

    Leading the Parent Annual Fund Campaign

    Building relationships with parents to grow an outreach program for the Parent Annual Fund

    Engaging, building, maintaining relationships with other SLUH constituencies, especially SLUH Grandparents, Alumni Parents and Grandparents

    Required Skills/Abilities

    Represent and support the Jesuit Catholic mission of St. Louis U. High, especially the school's commitment to securing resources for the financial aid program.

    A relationship builder who excels at meeting new people and establishing rapport.

    High emotional intelligence.

    Ability to work collaboratively with a team and to engage a wide variety of stakeholders.

    Communicates in an exceptional way, verbally - from individuals to large groups - and in writing.

    Organized with a keen attention to detail and an ability to lead and manage multi-faceted projects.

    Creativity for problem solving and volunteer engagement.

    Adept in handling multiple projects simultaneously.

    Flexibility to modify work schedule to attend games, meetings, or other events.

    Education/Experience

    Bachelor's degree.

    Five plus years of experience in a professional fundraising environment, preferably in an educational institution

    Demonstrated experience in donor relations and/or volunteer management.

    Proficiently uses Google Suite, Microsoft Office and other project management software systems.

    Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM and Canva preferred.
