- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, including behavioral interventions and academic accommodations.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in cross-categorical 5th and 6th-grade classrooms as well as early childhood settings.
- Collaborate and co-plan with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all students.
- Address behavioral issues through positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and other evidence-based strategies.
- Write and hold IEP meetings, ensuring that student progress is regularly monitored and documented.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including cross-categorical and early childhood populations
- Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and positive behavior interventions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers and support staff
