Description

The operation and movement of this equipment is needed for purpose of lifting intermodal containers on/off chassis, spotting equipment throughout our Depot Yard, Minor repairs on truck, Chassis and containers Snow removal and other terminal duties as required.

Terminal Operator will also be required to perform yard check and stage, containers, chassis and or trailers daily for next dispatch and maintain cleanliness of work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections of equipment prior to operating.
Safely Operate various equipment within DOT and OSHA guidelines
Safely operate various equipment within DOT and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

Forklift Certified (preferred)
Class A License preferred but not required
Must have the ability to follow and carry out written and oral directions.
Ability to solve problems independently.
Must have a strong attention to detail.
Must be selfmotivated.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to work within a team environment
Mechanical Experience a plus
Intermodal Experience a plus

Physical Requirements

Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
Required to wear personal protective gear.
Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 25 lbs
Climbing ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, etc
Crouchingbending body downward and forward by bending leg(s) and spine.
