- Check working drawings for architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, electrical, and landscaping plans to ensure details, constructability, and dimensions align.
- Review Building Specifications to verify material, subcontractor, and equipment requirements and identify any potential conflicts.
- Manage the job site, overseeing areas like trailers, signage, material staging, vehicle access, and temporary utility access. Maintain an organized system for project plans, communication, and subcontract management.
- Implement safety measures and company programs to adhere to OSHA standards and provide a secure working environment.
- Foster a positive relationship with clients to meet project deadlines effectively.
- Perform regular project inspections, addressing any owner concerns promptly.
- Monitor project labor productivity and report any deviations from the original budgets to the company.
- Coordinate project construction documents, identify material quantities needed, and manage purchases based on availability, cost, and specifications.
- Oversee the quality assurance program for the project.
- Coordinate project shop drawings and construction documents to ensure proper project layout.
- Manage project punch lists for timely completion and occupancy permits.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in multi-family, wood-frame construction, senior living, or student housing, with a focus on carpentry supervision.
- Preference for experience in parking deck construction and commercial projects like warehouses and distribution facilities.
- Design/build experience and proficiency in carpentry and concrete work are advantageous.
- College education is a bonus.
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes, technology, methods, and local markets.
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of timely project completion.
- Ability to identify project issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with project management software like Prolog and MS Project.
- Current or ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications like word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
