The Southern Division of First State Orthopaedics is seeking a Full Time Surgical Scheduler/Medical Assistant to round out their physician patient care teams.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling surgical appointments for various musculoskeletal specialties
  • Communicating with other facilities and healthcare teams
  • Communicating with patients to provide necessary surgical instructions and to confirm appointments
  • Performing insurance verification and/or preauthorizations as necessary
Contact patients as needed to answer questions regarding the care they are receiving.

Assist in covering clinical hours for team during lunch breaks and vacation coverage.

Full time position Monday-Friday, health insurance, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k. Compensation based on experience/qualifications.
