The main responsibility of the Construction Project Manager is to lead the overall budgeting, planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale hotel renovations.

The Construction Project Manager functions as the coordinator between the general contractors, architect, interior designer, purchasing agent, owner, and all other project stakeholders working towards a successful renovation project.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage multiple projects in various stages of design and renovation
  • Oversee project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance and adherence to quality, budget, and timeline goals
  • Develop budgets for upcoming renovation and capital expense projects, including estimating current projects using historical data and current construction costs.
  • Coordinate with design professionals to ensure accurate and detailed project documentation, including reviewing construction documents for completeness and acceptability.
  • Prepare and review all scopes of work, construction documents, ADA surveys, PIPs, brand renovation requirements, etc to assemble complete and comprehensive bid packages.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and propose effective solutions (2530% Travel Required)
  • Monitor the activities of all architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Ensure that projects are constructed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and local building codes.
  • Regularly communicate project updates and promptly address concerns
  • Review and approve all payment requisitions and supporting documentation.
  • Manage the final punch lists to assure projects are 100% final. Provide asbuilt documentation and product information at close of job. Compile specifications and care & warranty documents for new products installed on the project, and coordinate training for the hotel team as needed

What We Look For:

***- 3+ years of experience managing renovations of hotels or similar industries (i.e. multi-family, student housing, etc) is required.

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree or commensurate experience in a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of national hotel brands' product positioning requirements and future brand standard strategies as it relates to their design and technology improvements for brand families such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Choice.
  • Strong demonstrated track record of utilizing enterprisewide software solutions for project tracking.
  • Selfmotivated individuals with a proactive approach to the role
  • Proven track record in CAPEX project scope implementation and execution. Familiarity with Marriott's LOBO and Hilton's ProjectHub a plus
  • Must have valid driver's license
