    Responsibilities:

    Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors

    Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and software tools

    Create proposals and respond to bid invites and requests

    Prepare take-offs and estimates in detail for all requested projects

    Review and evaluate mechanical and plumbing drawings and specifications for incoming quote requests

    Understand the scope of HVAC and plumbing work for upcoming bids

    Communicate with the business development team on new and current projects

    Prepare complete take-off and cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems

    Inspect plans and specifications of projects

    During the bid process, prepare transmittals, distribute plans, specifications, and addenda to subcontractors and vendors

    Execute detailed quantity surveys and develop complete written scopes of work

    Prepare master budgets and cost models for projects

    Develop conceptual project budgets and estimates

    Discuss with the estimate review team, suppliers, or other involved parties to review estimates, identify and resolve issues

    Regularly update ongoing projects to help maintain the profit margin and handle any changes in the original estimates and future bids

    Desired Qualifications:

    Knowledge of commercial Mechanical Contracting including HVAC and Plumbing systems

    Five years of related experience in HVAC and plumbing estimating process

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to negotiate effectively

    Thorough understanding of the plumbing and HVAC industry

    Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments;

    Ability to develop budgets and timelines

    Reliable, detailed oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling several tasks concurrently with shifting deadlines

    Possessor develop the understanding of local codes and how to use available resources to find solutions

    Efficient management skills to improve the productivity of teams and work standards

    Works well on own or in a team environment

    Self-starter with a strong work ethic

    Knowledgeable in building and construction
