Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.

As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

Are you an experienced leader within the analytics community? Are you naturally curious when looking at data and have a high attention to detail? If so, the Enterprise Customer Experience team at Travelers is looking for a Director of Market Insights Data Products to join the team.

This is an exciting new opportunity where you will partner to build new data assets that collect market research data.

In addition, you will oversee the delivery of customer experience dashboards and data visualizations to support the enterprise.

This ideal candidate has a high attention to detail, can distill the needs of internal customers into requirements, is analytically minded, has experience with various business intelligence delivery platforms, has extensive leadership experience, and loves to learn new things.

This position will have direct reports.
What Will You Do?
Partner with the internal Business Intelligence teams to design, build, and deploy data assets that house Market Insights Data.
Serve as primary point-person to internal stakeholders to collect, prioritize, and distill high-level needs into detailed requirements.
Oversee the creation, deployment, and quality control of Qualtrics dashboards.
Utilize Business Intelligence Platforms such as Qlik and\or MicroStrategy to support data visualization, analytics, and Information Delivery needs.

Accountable for the planning, objectives, and milestones for long-term strategy, including dependency mapping, business partnerships, and timelines across supported portfolio(s).

Focus on what pieces of value need to be delivered to achieve business partner and internal goals and objectives.
Lead the intake of business demand and assess value to ensure alignment to long-term roadmaps.
Work with business partners to design insights portfolio that addresses goals and objectives.

Drive adoption of insights delivery solution among business partners, including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capability.

Work to ensure team structure and skills are sufficient to deliver and maintain value over time. Balances dependencies with internal and external organizations to ensure value delivery plan can be met.
Coach and aid in the skill development of the team, including team leaders.
Align solution design to enterprise data management, security, and governance controls.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools (SQL, Python, Snowflake and SAS)
Significant experience in the development and delivery of Business Intelligence Platforms (Qlik or MicroStrategy)
Experience overseeing and managing enterprise data assets
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Ability to quickly gain an understanding of Travelers' business strategy and plan objectives to align with enterprise goals.
Strong technical understanding of all delivery methods and platforms and their use and purpose.
Ability to set data and information delivery strategies.
What is a Must Have?
Bachelor's degree or five years equivalent experience with business intelligence tools, techniques, manipulation, or related.
