The Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Supervisor supports the US Customs Compliance team in overseeing operations and compliance related to CTP's Foreign Trade Zones.
The US Customs Compliance team is an integral part of the wider global CTP customs compliance function.Reporting to the Senior FTZ Manager, this role is responsible for daily management and administration of CTP's FTZs, liaising with CTP's 3rd party business partners (including customs brokers, 3PLs and FTZ Management Software) and has involvement in other customs compliance functions such as valuation, tariff classification, country of origin marking, audit, Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting, etc.
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage FTZ administration for multiple zone sites, including export formalities
- Adhere to and maintain FTZ operations manuals for each site
- Prepare and submit FTZ related filings such as daily admissions (e214), weekly estimates (CF3461) and weekly entries (CF7501)
- Manage inventory matters such as daily inventory balancing, overage and shortage program, scrapping, etc.
- Maintain records in accordance with US Customs regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Sourcing/Buying, Finance etc.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as 3PLs, customs brokers and FTZ Management Software
- Manage continuous improvement of FTZ operational practices
- Manage Partner Government Agency reporting (Food and Drug Administration, Fish and Wildlife, US Department of Agriculture, Toxic Substances Control Act, etc.)
- Prepare and submit Annual Reports to FTZ Grantees
- Manage and support FTZ Coordinator
- Manage other compliance projects and tasks as assigned by senior management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate degree required
- Licensed Customs Broker preferred
- 3+ years of US customs compliance experience including knowledge of CFR Title 1 Experience with FTZ management required
- Project management experience preferred
- Experience with FTZ software required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Selfmotivated and capable of working independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to pass a criminal history and background check, as required and conducted by US Customs
Pay:
$ $25.01 per hour
