Responsibilities:


  • Maintains general ledger accounting records for nine or more companies to assure integrity, accuracy and timeliness of accounting information. Provides reports on regular and ad hoc basis to support management decision making and assure compliance with governmental and banking reporting requirements.
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities. Works with others who may be assigned the task of insurance coverage selection or coverage purchase.
  • Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
  • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
  • Prepares all schedules and analysis required for independent audits of company's accounts.
  • Oversees and manages any audits support, communication and reconciliation.
  • Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies, banks and other financial institutions or any governmental unit.

Skills:

Language Skills:Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in English such as: safety rules & regulations, operating & maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, invoices, purchase orders, contracts and all business documents associated with operations of the organization. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers or employees of the organization. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentage calculations and to draw and interpret graphs.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software. _Computerized_ report writing and database development is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees in the Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable directives.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

As the Corporate Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing budgets, and implementing sound financial policies. We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong background in financial management and accounting principles.

From $110,000.00 per year
