Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Purchaser to join our team.

As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Your expertise in supply chain management, negotiation, and contract management will be essential in maintaining efficient operations.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and category management techniques
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis and make informed decisions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Detailoriented mindset with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities:


  • Implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish longterm relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine material and service requirements including program directors to identify and secure tour and trip operators for school trips and events.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review consultant and subcontractor terms and agreements align with funding program objectives.
  • Secure and maintain digital and hard copies of executed agreements, certificates of insurance and form W9 on payees.
  • Organizes the supply room.
  • Conducts semiannual physical inventory of school assets at both locations.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.
