ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Non rotating 19 hour work week, hours are dependent upon season and program needs.

Responsibilities

The objective of this position is to assist the coordinators, supervisors and program managers in planning, organizing, observing and directing a variety of recreational activities in the Athletics program area.

Will respond to and resolve complaints by advising and providing assistance to individuals and groups on related recreational problems. Assists and responds to the general public regarding questions, comments or concerns, and alerts supervisors of such actions. Performs minor maintenance by assisting with facility clean up after sports league and special program events. Assists with marketing by posting flyers and posters at Athletic sites during events. Responsible for reviewing revenue receipts, verifying deposits, and preparing documentation for daily deposits. Must be able to apply First Aid and CPR as needed. Maintain discipline, order, and crowd control at activity site by maintaining view of children and surroundings. Ensure proper ratio of children to staff and address discipline in a positive and consistent manner.

Duties of this position necessitate driving to Athletics field sites daily for walk through of playing field or indoor facilities within the City.

Qualifications

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED with minimum of 6 months to one year experience. A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered. A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications prior to job assignment.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
