The Role
- The Solution Architect will play a key role in driving the technical architecture within Fidelity Institutional Technology for the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Advisory space. They will collaborate with Business/Product Sponsors, Agile Squads, and Peer Architects to modernize Fidelity Institutional Technology. The Solution Architect's main focus is on delivering reliable, scalable solutions that provide significant business value.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- Over 10 years of experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development across various technology platforms, frameworks, and languages.
- Capable of offering technical leadership, creating design artifacts, and implementing solutions for agile teams. Responsible for end-to-end solutions architecture design and effectively communicating the design to product owners, agile teams, and architecture leadership.
- Able to collaborate with multiple squads to deliver architecture artifacts, resolve issues, create wellness plans, and devise product roadmaps.
- Skilled in analyzing business objectives, understanding long-term visions, and assessing the risk and benefits of developing strategic technical solutions. Works closely with product owners and squads to evaluate, select, recommend, and configure technologies.
- Proficient in maintaining relationships with product owners, architects, and technical leads for various products and applications. Works with peer architects to identify opportunities for process enhancement, improving customer experience, and rationalizing capabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in APIs, UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and cutting-edge technologies.
- In-depth understanding of the agile development process and DevOps practices.
- Extensive software development experience with a focus on client-side technologies (Angular/React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and strong proficiency in Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and web application technologies.
- Adept at working independently and collaboratively across all organizational levels, both with technical and non-technical team members.
- Possess a passion for technology, with a willingness to explore different languages and frameworks.
- Proven ability in critical thinking and translating business requirements into technological solutions.
- Strong presentation skills; adept in written and verbal communication with the ability to influence others.
- Experience in cloud technologies and practices, including building and deploying applications using AWS, Azure, or both. Cloud certification is a plus.
