Essential Job Functions- Maintain affirmative action data collection forms, including completing the second page of form and entering the date collected into Ascentis.
- Maintain current and terminated employee I9 forms. Monthly obtain a new hire report from payroll and audit the existing I9 binders to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Respond to employee requests for employment verification and reference checks from outside sources per agency policy.
- Respond to Employee Request for Employment Letters in a timely manner.
- Monthly train new managers on HR related topics.
- Maintain accurate and up to date information on all employees in Ascentis.
- Upon receipt of new hire paper work, break down paperwork and put together the new employee personnel file, medical file, and confidential file; label files appropriately and audit for any missing documentation before filing in file room. Ensure the accuracy of all employee information into Ascentis. All filing must be completed on a weekly basis.
- Administer employee benefits programs such retirement plans, medical, dental, nonmedical benefits (Life & ADD), voluntary insurance.
- Provide excellent customer service to employee inquiries regarding benefit eligibility, coverage and other benefit concerns/matters and assist with the administration of CRI's company benefit programs.
- Process employee benefits enrollment using RK XChange and forward the benefit deductions to payroll prior to the end of the payroll cycle.
- Organize and distribute the policy and procedure binders and CDs to the group homes annually.
- Administer monthly staff service recognition program, employee referral program including determining eligibility, distribution of the award. Works with the AED for Operations for award requests.
- Completes all HR filing in a timely manner.
- Maintains content of Employee Self-Service home page including new announcements and ongoing information.
- Perform all other duties as delegated by Assistant Director of Human Resources.
- Must possess a valid CT driver's license and a good driving record
- Must have ability to work independently
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows
- Must be able to organize and prioritize and performs various job responsibilities and functions simultaneously.
- Must be able to multi task
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week

- High school or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
Human Resources: 1 year (preferred)
Leadership Experience: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
