    Job Overview


    Lindner Center of HOPE (LCOH) is a nationally renowned psychiatric center of excellence located in Mason, Ohio, committed to providing state of the art treatment to patients at all levels of care.

    LCOH is part of the UC Health network and affiliated with the Mayo Clinic and the National Network of Depression Centers.

    Psychiatrists receive faculty appointments through the University of Cincinnati Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, one of the top 20 psychiatry departments in the country.

    Final rank of faculty appointment is commensurate with experience. There is the opportunity to teach psychiatry residents and medical students.

    We continue to expand our services and are looking for a psychiatrist to serve as the Medical Director of Bipolar Disorders to join our team.

    The Medical Director of Bipolar Disorders will be mentored and trained by Dr.

    Susan McElroy, Chief Research Officer, who is internationally known for her research in bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obesity, impulse control disorders and pharmacology.

    She currently oversees multiple ongoing studies in mood, anxiety, eating and impulse control disorders, genetics, and psychopharmacology.

    Essential Functions


    The Medical Director of Bipolar Disorders will see adult and child and adolescent patients (if board-certified) with bipolar disorder in the outpatient setting and be available for consultation for complex inpatient and residential patients when needed.

    There is the opportunity to conduct research in bipolar disorders.
    Required Education

    MD or DO
    Required Trainings/Certifications

    Ohio License
    Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
    Additional Qualifications Considered

    Board certified or board eligible in Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or dual board certification certified Family Medicine/Psychiatry, Internal Medicine/Psychiatry, Neurology/Psychiatry).
    Three (3) to five (5) years' experience treating patients with bipolar disorder.
