Highland Care Center, a 320 bed Skilled Nursing Facility is currently seeking a dedicated
Housekeeper to join our staff. We are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that is dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest. Responsibilities of the Housekeeper:


  • Clean up spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed.
  • Assist in maintaining a neat and odor free facility.
  • Clean (including vacuuming, wiping, mopping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and straighten items; confirm residents' rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner and residents' personal items are safeguarded.
  • Maintain a work area free of hazardous conditions, i.e., spills, excessive supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Keep work and storage areas in a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe condition.

Requirements of the Housekeeper:


  • Practical knowledge of daytoday cleaning in a longterm care facility.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
  • Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with staff and vendors.
