Duties:


  • Assists with Agencywide management function support.

Conditions of Employment:


  • You must be a U.S. citizen or national.
  • You must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • You will be required to sign a Pathways Program Participant Agreement.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must be enrolled at least half time at a qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate at least halftime.
  • You must maintain status as a current student while on this appointment.
  • The intern is in a trial period throughout the entire Pathways Internship appointment.

Qualifications:


Basic Requirement:


  • Be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, on at least a halftime basis, at a qualifying educational institution.
  • Be seeking a diploma, degree, or certificate; AND
  • Be in good academic standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50

Qualifications:


To qualify for the
Student Trainee (Finance), your experience must demonstrate attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, problem solving skills, researching data required for reporting purposes, creating data sets, and cleaning raw data.

To qualify at the GS-7 level, you must meet the following requirements: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education in a related field such as Finance and accounting; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.

  • S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) gradepoint average, or (3) honor society membership.


  • Class standing_

  • Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
  • Gradepoint average (G.P.A.) _Applicants must have a gradepoint average of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.
  • Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society_
  • Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies. These honor societies are listed by the Association of College Honor Societies.

Education may only be substituted in accordance with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order to be credited towards qualifications.

Pathways Student Internship Program Education Requirement:1. Must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate on a full or half-time basis.

You MUST provide proof that you are currently enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment in the next academic term on a full-time or part-time basis.
