For over 30 years, Global Arts Live has brought exceptional music and dance to stages across greater Boston. We invest in longstanding relationships with artists, support them with commissions, and develop audiences for their work.Since inception, Global Arts Live has presented more than 800 artists from 70+ countries in over 1,500 performances attended by more than 1 million people.
With an artistic vision focused on cultural diversity, many of our artistic projects express universal themes of identity, immigration, heritage, and inclusion.
70% of presented artists identify as BIPOC.Audience surveys demonstrate that our audiences roughly correlate to the Boston area population with 23% of our audiences identifying as BIPOC and 44% speaking a language other than English.
Global Arts Live is ushering in an unprecedented phase of growth.The organization hired a CEO two years ago to augment the work of the Founder, who continues as Director of Artistic Programs.
We are partnering with a real estate developer who is funding and building a $40 million performing arts center in Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA, scheduled to open in 2026.
Global Arts Live, and our new nonprofit, 585 Arts, Inc., will be the operating partners of this new cultural center.
We are currently engaged in an exciting $15 million fundraising campaign to support the innovative programs, operations, and sustainability of the new center.
JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Marketing Coordinator will assist in creating, executing, and analyzing an integrated content strategy to drive web traffic and ticket sales, and communicate our nonprofit mission.
This position offers exposure to all areas of arts marketing—promotion, public relations, and administration—and the opportunity to experience incredible art from around the world.
This is a full-time, salaried position.Some night and weekend work is required—representing Global Arts Live at approximately 2-3 concerts per month in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area from Sep-May.
Candidates will have flexible remote work options, with some in-office work required.Responsibilities include:
Content Calendar Maintain internal content calendar for social channels and email communications, advertising, direct mail, and PR.
Social Media (organic, earned, paid) Develop ad copy and creative, targeting criteria, and placement on Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube while also prioritizing organic content and engagement initiatives.
Digital Strategy Utilize Google and Microsoft platforms and local calendars and websites to promote concerts and increase website traffic for reengagement campaigns.
Website Update content including artist pages and campaign specific landing pages, optimize web content for SEO, assist in projects with web developer.
Public Relations Draft and distribute press releases.
Google Analytics & Tag Manager Develop and deliver regular KPI reports with a focus on improving customer engagement, revenue growth, and user experience.
Database Management Master CRM to pull lists and segment patrons, analyze data, and take ticket orders and donations.
Administrative Organize press clippings and tear sheets, organize, and gather promotional support materials, liaise with print partners, track marketing expenses.
On Site Attend approximately 2-3 concerts and events per month—represent the organization, encourage email list and membership sign-ups, and capture content for social media.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
In addition to a genuine curiosity about, and affinity for, the mission and high artistic standards of Global Arts Live, the qualified candidate must have:
2+ years professional marketing or administrative experience or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, and Microsoft.
Strong writing, copy editing, and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and organized; comfortable multi-tasking to produce high-quality work on tight deadlines.
Design-driven sensibility; experienced in developing engaging web content.
Interest in authentic work with diverse communities and cultures, and commitment to advancing anti-racism in the mission delivery and workplace.
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time, walk up and down two flights of stairs, and lift 30 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Global Arts Live offices are located at 720 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, and concerts are held in venues across Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge
This position requires night and weekend work at approximately 2-3 concerts per month from Sep-May.
Candidates must work at least 2 days in the office and, if preferred, can work the additional 3 days at home.
Current COVID-19 office protocols include avoiding coming into the office if ill or contagious. Masking is at individual discretion, and masks are provided as needed for work activities such as concerts. (Subject to change as health guidance is updated.)COMPENSATION
Full time, $50,000-$55,000 annual salary. Benefits include health, dental, flexible spending account, retirement, and professional development opportunities.
