The Assistant General Manager serves as a central hub of information with the Associate Producer and Production Supervisor in the operations for unCommon Stage.

They provide critical administrative and logístical support, including complex schedule management, contract drafting and administration, and processing payments in collaboration with the Finance/Accounts Payable Departments.
The AGM will serve as key personnel providing support to the onsite team, both at the venue and remotely.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Manage and execute each step of the artist contract process - drafting, negotiation, and execution.
Manage the payment process for artists, including, but not limited to, collecting bank and tax details, entering coding and payment information into Workday, and coordinating with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and the Office of the Arts Business department to ensure payees receive timely payment.
Create, track, and follow up with payment status and other related expenses for Associate Producer, Director of unCommon, Office of the Arts, and Chief Financial Officer.
Maintain an in-depth and continual focus on the organization of event status, calendars, and materials for dissemination, use, and record-keeping.
Serve as a resource to and support the Associate Producer by being available to consult and provide event information.
With Associate Producer, ensure timely delivery of marketing, press, and technical materials from curators, artists, and event coordinators.
Provide regular on-site support including key moments and special events. Coordinate onsite coverage for artist support as needed.
"On-call" contact for stage management and other stage crew support.
With Production Supervisor, advance technical aspects of events and performances.
Assist with artist load in, setup, and load out equipment as needed.
Assist Associate Producer with data collection relating to audience development and retention.
Oversee the stage managers to ensure smooth production.
QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
3-5 years' experience in performing arts/live event management; experience as a stage manager highly desirable
Experience interpreting budgets and payroll data strongly preferred
Experience with contract drafting a plus
Experience with website content management a plus

Ability to work with artists and all levels of the organization with diplomacy, caregiving and empathy
Avid understanding of, and passion for, the performing arts
Extreme attention to details and accuracy as well as problem solving skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work evenings and weekends required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Make appropriate, informed decisions regarding priorities and available time
Ability to handle confidential matters in a professional and service-oriented manner
Ability to respond with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround often including night and weekend hours
Ability to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
First Aid/CPR training is a plus
