    Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

    Location: Tampa, FL

    Duration: Fulltime/Direct hire/Perm

    Litigation Paralegal – Public Advocacy with Corporate Perks

    • A national plaintiff's law firm with a focus on public advocacy has partnered with Staffing Technologies in their search for a Litigation Paralegal.
    • With a national footprint and a mission driven culture coupled with generous benefits this will be an excellent opportunity to support the plaintiff in holding corporations accountable for misconduct.
    • As a Litigation Paralegal you'll partner with attorneys and their teams by performing client meetings, legal drafting, and other relevant legal activities in preparation for trials.
    • We are looking for an energetic, driven, and detail-oriented individual for this on-site position.
    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial.
    • Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents.
    • File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service.
    • Prepare discovery requests and responses.
    • Coordinate and schedule depositions.
    • Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates.
    • Perform extensive internal and on-line legal research (court rules and procedures).
    • Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.

    Skills Desired:

    • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (time and content sensitive deadlines);

    Highly organized;

    • Strong computer and procedural skills.
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with the ability to analyze and problem solve.
    • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to establish and foster working relationships with litigation attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and legal assistants.
