Position Overview:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful execution of multifamily and commercial construction projects.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will assist in project buyout, subcontractor selection, and overall project management activities.

You will be responsible for facilitating communication between project stakeholders, coordinating project documentation, and ensuring project deliverables are met with the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the procurement process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers

Collaborate with the Project Manager to select the most qualified subcontractors based on project requirements, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Manage the RFI process by documenting and tracking inquiries from project team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams to address RFIs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Assist in the review, negotiation, and processing of change orders to address modifications to project scope, schedule, and budget.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project schedules.
Generate and distribute project reports to stakeholders, highlighting project status, milestones, and any potential risks or delays.
Organize and maintain project files in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.
Facilitate communication between project team members, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Attend project meetings, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure alignment and progress.
Coordinate logistics and scheduling of subcontractors, deliveries, and other project activities to maintain project timeline and minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in multifamily and commercial construction.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
Strong understanding of construction processes, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
