This position involves working in the Naval Systems Computing Center (NSCC) which is part of the Data Control/Media Library team at the Rotary Mission Systems Moorestown, NJ facility.

This center is part of a test suite that is tied to the AEGIS Weapons System and provides critical capability for early program development and element testing prior to system level integration.


THE WORK
On a daily basis the Media Librarian will be responsible for:

  • Creating and monitoring various types of classified (and unclassified) media, including but not limited to Computer Hard Drives, CDs, DVDs, Optical Disks, 9-track magnetic tapes, 4mm cassettes, and LTO tapes.
  • Retrieving, allocating, and tracking media distributed to different users.
  • Labeling classified hardware and printed materials according to DoD standards.
  • Managing accountable materials using the Security Information Management System (SIMS) and Media Tracker inventory control software.
  • Performing regular inventories of media.
  • Engaging closely with Quality Assurance and Configuration Management staff, system users, and various operational workcenter teams.
  • Producing, revising, and preserving various reports and metrics in line with established inventory procedures.
  • Preparing media for shipping, transferring, or destruction.
  • Conducting courier duties as needed.
  • Executing additional tasks as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Possess previous experience working in an office environment.

Desired Skills:


  • Possess a basic familiarity with UNIX operating systems.
  • Knowledge and documented experience with DoD security procedures, closed area requirements and proficiency in handling classified media.
  • Knowledge and experience with database operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Secret

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
