Description

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD9, ICD10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing
Stay uptodate with changes in medical coding systems and regulations

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or related field
Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
Knowledge of ICD9, ICD10, and DRG coding guidelines
Familiarity with medical office operations and electronic health records (EHR)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
