Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a scheduler or staffing coordinator in a long term care setting.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing staffing needs.

Job Description:
As a Scheduling and Medical Record Manager at Solomons Nursing and Rehab, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, and assigning personnel based on skill levels, certifications, and resident requirements.
  • Managing the schedule 7 days a week.
  • Maintaining open and clear communication with nursing staff, management, and other relevant departments to address scheduling issues, changes, and concerns.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding staffing ratios and qualifications.
  • Maintaining accurate records of staff schedules, attendance, and timeoff requests.
  • Addressing staffing shortages and scheduling conflicts promptly and effectively.
  • Assisting in training new staff members on scheduling systems and processes.
  • Preparing and distributing reports on staffing levels and scheduling efficiency to management.
  • Managing and reviewing medical files and updating resident medical records & documentation accordingly
