Set up machinery for operationStart machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performanceOperate machinery and equipment according to instructionsTroubleshoot issues and perform maintenancePerform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisorComply with all safety and health regulationsClean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work areaQualifications for Machine OperatorHigh School Diploma, GED or betterPrevious machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experienceMust be detail-orientedUnderstanding of production and plant processesAnalytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurementAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to work in a teamAbility to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of timeWillingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
